Shirley received her B.A. degree in Bible and Elementary Education from Baptist
Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA. She is a second grade reading teacher at Elmer
Wolfe Elementary School.
Shirley has been a subscription manager for a Christian magazine, a third grade
teacher at a Christian school, a church small group administrative assistant,
a full-time substitute teacher in the public school system, an ILA (Integrated
Language Arts) reading specialist, also in the public school system, and a reading
tutor.
She has an extensive ministry background. In addition to being a gracious pastor's
wife for over a decade, Shirley has led an entire Pioneer Club Children's Ministry,
has taught Children's Church and children's Sunday School, has led a church-based
Women's Ministry, and is a fine conference speaker on women's ministry issues.
Shirley completed a two-year LEAD (Lay Encouragers And Disciplers) training program
and ministered for two years as a lay encourager. She finished an additional one-year
Spiritual Friendship equipping program and has provided spiritual friendship to
numerous grateful women for years.
Shirley is known for her gentle spirit, kindness, sensitivity, and patience.
She also is a student of God's Word who skillfully uses it to help others to know
Him better, love Him deeper, and serve Him more effectively.
She is the mother of two children, Josh age 20, and Marie age 17. Shirley and
Bob have been married for 24 years.
Shirley enjoys cooking, decorating, playing tennis, reading (espeically mystery
novels), sci-fi, spending time with friends, hosting parties, and, of course,
being a loving wife and mom.
